Development begins of new project management tools for MaestroLIVE

Wow. Just realised it has been almost three months since my last missive. I can assure you it was not because we are bored writing up blogs, just that we have been flat out delivering new functions and features to our clients.
Since my last comments we have been busy releasing a whole series of specialised MaestroLIVE modules for the road maintenance businesses that use MaestroLIVE, these modules include:
These modules are all able to use the Mango mobile client, along with the workflow manager, Budget Manager and Scheduler, meaning you now have all the modules you need to manage and maintain any term maintenance contract with any client.
Now we have that major delivery out of the way, we are now working on a comprehensive project planning tool.
This module we are particularly excited about. Think Microsoft Project, but embedded in MaestroLIVE. You will be able to create projects in the traditional way, defining the tasks, lead and lag times, resources needed, etc. You will be able to define sub projects and sub tasks. You will be able to ascertain the critical path and create baselines. All within the MaestroLIVE platform - this you will also be able to visualise your resource availability, understand how the project will impact your current workload, see the “hot spots” where you might need more resource, or reschedule work as required.
Because the project task is just another task, the MaestoLIVE Mango client is able to handle project tasks too - and users will be able to tell the server if there are
Durations can be calculated, resources used defined, and all sent back to the central server ensure schedules and costs can be monitored and managed in real time.
This module shows once more just how versatile the MaestoLIVE platform , and we think this is a real differentiator for MaestroLIVE. We look forward to getting user feedback when we release the “Schemes” module, currently scheduled for early 2017.
